Bernadette Building

Female offenders used to be housed in two separate facilities; however, in late 2010 and 2011, the facilities housing these offenders were closed to the inmate population.

The awaiting trial and medium security women were moved to the Gloria McDonald Building, while the minimum security and work-release inmates were housed in the Bernadette Building. In July 2016, all female inmates were moved from the Bernadette Building and housed in the Gloria McDonald Women’s Facility.

The Bernadette Building, located at 15 Fleming Road, has never been officially closed but currently does not house any female offenders.
