2026 Progress Update

The strategic progress the Department has made thus far and the commitment shown by our staff, community partners, and stakeholders in shepherding this work is something to be proud of. Together, we have begun advancing the key priorities: enhancing staff safety and wellness, strengthening recruitment and development, and expanding training to better equip our workforce. With rehabilitation at the core of our work, we remain focused on reducing recidivism and preparing individuals in our care for successful reentry into the community. 

While challenges lie ahead, our shared dedication ensures we are on the right path to a safer and more effective correctional system. This plan remains a living, breathing document, shaped by collaboration and guided by our Mission.
