Specialized Supervision In addition to geographic assignment of cases, some offenders are supervised on specialized caseloads to enable the Probation and Parole Officers to focus on specific areas of risk, needs, and services. While all probationers are required to comply with general conditions of probation and parole, in addition, some offenders are ordered by the sentencing judge to fulfill special conditions, such as completing substance abuse treatment, paying restitution, or having no contact with a particular person. Specialized supervision is provided for parole, domestic violence, and sexual assault cases.
